The night before the wedding we arrived to what I suppose could be called very Scottish Summer weather. It was raining sideways and a cold harsh wind blew around every corner. The next morning however was a completely different story.
As we pulled up to Culzean Castle, the clouds above the choppy ocean opened up and the sun fought its way through. What followed was a magical day not just in terms of beautiful Summer weather – everything about Ketsuda and Andrew’s wedding had a touch of fairytale to it. From the magnificent venue, Culzean Castle, with its moss covered heavy stone walls and classical light filled interiors, to the views over the rocky cliffs of the Scottish sea.
As the sun set we were lucky enough to sneak away for a few minutes for Ketsuda and Andrew to spend by themselves, as a married couple, gazing out over the water. These moments of calm are my favourites on a wedding day, and I am glad we got that time on this day, too.
Big thanks goes out to John for being my wingman on this. This trip to Scotland would not have been the same without you!

Hi Ann, I love this post! I’m a wedding photographer based in Surrey and I’m just starting to make my transition back to analog. I stumbled upon your site and it has only helped to confirm that I’ve made the right decision! My first engagement session is currently with RPL! Waiting like a maniac! Best, Mark ;-)
