Look at those faces. Are Chloë and Paul not the happiest couple alive? There is not a minute that goes by without Chloë breaking into a massive grin. And it’s infectious.
Their wedding weekend started off with me turning into the road of my B&B the night before. And stopping in my tracks because two horses casually strolled across the road. When I enquired with my B&B lady whether we should call someone to alert them that two horses are on the loose she kindly explained to me that these are New Forest ponies and they, as well as pigs, sheep and at this time of the year donkeys (!), roam freely. So I was to drive carefully and try not to hit them. Right!
Needless to say I kind of loved the New Forest with its donkeys and knobbly trees. But I loved the beach even more. And was a little bit excited about Chloë and Paul having a first look at the beach prior to the ceremony. The English Spring weather meant well so we lucked out with a few spots of sun exactly when we needed them and hail pelting on the windows only once everyone was safely inside.
From Chloë’s fantastic Claire Pettibone dress and Jimmy Choos to a beard growing contest with the award ceremony taking place before dinner this wedding was an absolute dream. These two had booked me quite some time ago and in the time leading up to the wedding I got to know them a little better. Suddenly it was late April and the day I’d been looking forward to for all this time was there – and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it.
The seaside, the flowers, the picnic for dinner; long time friends from foreign countries, hair blowing in the wind, felt animals as cake toppers and a portrait shoot during sunset on the dock; the fun and laughter and most of all these two, it’s all too good for words. So have a look instead.
