Lisa and Paul love going skiing. So why not get married on a mountain in Austria? And whilst you’re at it you may as well do it properly and get married in a castle, on a mountain in the snow.
So that’s what they did. Together with a whole group of friends and family, a metric ton of snow and a little sunshine. Lucky me got invited along as well and so on a Tuesday in February we all put on giant snow boots, big winter coats and a smile to match the bright white landscape of Zell am See. A hundred litres of Schnaps, one ceremony at Kaprun castle, two horse drawn sleigh rides, mugs full of Glühwein and minus 12 degrees later the sun set over the Kitzsteinhorn after an incredible day whilst a horde of merry English people partied on.
A big thank you goes to Marco for helping me out on the day and Paul and Lisa with their families for making us feel so very welcome. May there be lots more snow-filled adventures in your future!
