Lately I had quite a few enquiries for my wedding photography where people specifically asked for my Hasselblad packages. So I figured it may be a good idea to explain the options available here. Why would anyone be so crazy and choose to use a clumsy, big old camera to shoot film in order to record an event as spontaneous as a wedding? I believe there is no better way to show and remember a wedding day than with medium format photos. Film has a timeless look, it has soul and flavour, a certain way of rendering light and colour that is unique and won’t be matched with anything you can do digitally. A Hasselblad film camera adds to this quality and I’ve discovered this camera as my tool of choice in order to produce the images I love, to capture the magic of your wedding the way you experienced it.
Yes, shooting with a Hasselblad means I’ll have to slow down. That’s a good thing! I am able to focus on the more important moments, I can let go of all the hustle surrounding me and focus entirely on what’s essential.
Plus, everyone looks great on film. It’s a fact.
