On our first few days we concentrated on the usual tourist things to do on summer holiday in a South European country. We looked at Tito’s huge and bullet proof cars in a museum, visited a disappearing lake, rode a train through a 20km long cave where human fish live, saw a castle built into a mountain, feasted at a local wine and prosciutto festival under pine trees and had drinks in a skyscraper bar in Ljubljana.
Considering the size of this small country I will never cease to be amazed at the amount of true hospitality and pure enjoyment you’ll experience when visiting. Staying with the kindest family and enjoying their massive breakfast spread in the mornings and equally as massive sofa for evening Seinfeld watching helped as well.
