It was only a few weeks after I photographed my first wedding at Dewsall Court that I got an email from Abi. Would I want to photograph another wedding there? I think I do. It’s such a great place. The big house for extra warmth and comfort with crackling fireplaces and the light-filled orangery, the little studio barn for the ceremony and green and lush gardens even in early Spring it was the perfect backdrop for Abi and Darryl’s wedding. We had rain, we had sun, we had cold winds and mild breezes but most of all we had whole lot of fun.
Abi and Darryl love film photography and asked to include a Polaroid package on top. Lucky for me my good friend and ace photographer Ann McGarry was free and able to fly over to help me out by taking these Polaroids. She is such a star that I’m currently scheming how to get her to move here permanently so she can come to all my weddings.
The amazing flowers by Love Lily and decorations by Natalie and Guy from Curious Fair turned the whole thing into a glamorous 1920’s affair, feathers and sparkles with soft pastels and metallics.
All Polaroids shot on Fuji FP100c and Impossible Project Image and Spectra film, all other photographs shot on Kodak Portra 400 and Tri-X, developed and scanned by the UK Film Lab.
