Beverley & Michael

Bev and Michael’s wedding day is a story of the fine things in life – a certain sparkle in the eye, a keen sense of humour, belly-aching laughter, softly coloured flowers, fitted suits, delicate lace over a swooping dress, personalised stationary, a heated fluffy blanket and an immensely strong connection between two people.

On a particularly sunny Saturday in April  I was walking down a street in Wandsworth, on my way to Bev and Michael’s flat. With the bright light shining through pink cherry blossoms and the smell of Spring in the air I knew it would be a great day in London. And it was. A ceremony at Christ’s Chapel followed by a reception at Dulwich College, with all their friends and families sipping champagne on that lush Spring-coloured bright green grass. Speeches and dancing and cheese and grapes in between 400 year old pillars and a penguin in a glass case.

After the sun had set and before I headed home I took a deep breath of that cool night air, infused with the promise of a Summer to come and I knew I was right. A great day indeed and the night had only just begun. All my best to the two of you – what a wonderful way to start a life together. A life full of fine things.

Shot on digital and film. All film Kodak Portra 400 and Tri-X, shot on Contax 645 and Nikon F100, scanned and developed by the FIND lab.

The shots are commendable! I’m no pro photographer but I’m really impressed with the way the photos were captured! Brilliant.
